Adult Ministries

Formation and Fellowship

We offer a variety of classes and Bible studies for all adults who want to study the Bible further, discuss their questions, build deeper relationships, and take further steps to grow in the way of Jesus with other people.

Sundays

Several adult Sunday school classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:50-10:35am. Each class covers different topics and is facilitated by different teachers. We invite you to try them and find the one that is the best fit for you in this season.

Wednesdays

Our adult Bible study takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30. It is an opportunity for further Bible study and learning and also a time for sharing prayer requests. This group meets in the sanctuary overflow in the upper level.

Elective Evening Classes

Once or twice a year, we offer elective evening classes that deep dive into a particular topic or theme. Past classes include Old Testament and New Testament surveys, Church History overview, basic theology, money management, and Biblical Self-Confrontation.

Adult Choir

Our adult choir contributes to our Sunday morning worship services by performing about once a month from September through May. The choir practices on Wednesday evenings at 7:40pm in the sanctuary.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell rehearses on Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Our goal is to provide worship music once a month from September to the end of June. This is a unique opportunity to lead in worship in a unique way. All members are uniquely important to this task. We share our schedules and work towards this goal by attending rehearsals and scheduling Sundays when we all are available to ring.

Women’s Missionary Fellowship

Our Women’s Missionary Fellowship (WMF) is an opportunity for women in our church family to gather for fun and fellowship, learn about and support missionaries, and serve members of our church community with food, care, and encouragement.

Ministries of WMF include supporting missionaries and providing breakfast for our Missionary Conference, as well as visiting and providing meals or care packages for sick, recuperating, or shut-in individuals, providing funeral meals, making cookies for Vacation Bible School, our annual ladies’ Christmas social, and more.

WMF meets on the first Thursday of the month, from January-June and September-November, at 6:30pm in the church basement. All ladies are invited to attend!

Seniors

Our Seniors group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month (except for July and August) for breakfast or lunch. Sometimes, this includes a special attraction or activity, like bowling and then lunch. We welcome anyone over 50 to join us for these special times of fun and fellowship.

Peace By Piece Sewing Ministry

Peace by Piece Sewing Ministry started in 2019 as a way for individuals in our congregation to use their God-given talents and experience in sewing. We sew projects (quilts, small dolls, wheelchair and walker bags, and more!), pray over them, and give them away, using these gifts as a way to encourage others and ultimately bring honor and glory to God. Our initial goal was to provide for our church and local community however COVID had other plans. When we resumed workshops after COVID, God began to open doors for us to reach many organizations outside our local area and around the globe.

Our items have gone to Thailand, Honduras, Mexico, a US Navy aircraft carrier, foreign missionaries, and many, many local service organizations. We typically sew and give away approximately 5,000 items annually.

Because of the nature of our work, we ask that those who volunteer with Peace by Piece be at least of Youth Group (teen) age. Unfortunately, we also cannot provide childcare.

If you have any questions, please contact Linda Dombrowsky or Carole Stockslager.
